PARK UPDATE: Today Andy Quinn announced  that the new owners have promised something BIG will be introduced in 2010 or 2011. Will this finally be the new coaster we have been waiting for?

PARK UPDATE: Kennywood is now open daily thru August 25, 2009.

SITE UPDATE: I want to take the time to thank everyone who has supported the site. I know in the past there has been a lot of down time and missed updates, but not anymore. Kennywoodinfo will be on top this time. Let's look forward to a good future and a more reliable site.

PHOTO UPDATE: Kennywood officially opened for the 2009 season on Saturday May 2, 2009. Here is Kennywoodinfo's official photo update. 

The first thing you will notice when walking into the park is that the Tunnel was repainted during the off season. It's VERY bright now. I like it a lot, but i know there are many others that don't. Keep in mind that it's not finished yet, the decision to repaint it was made just three weeks before opening day. It should be complete soon. I'll get more pictures then.

And...of course this photo report wouldn't be complete with out pictures of the Bayern Kurve! It looks great especially at night.

PARK UPDATE: We already know that the famous Bayern Kurve is returning in 2009 and the Phantom is getting new track, but Kennywood gave us more to look forward to. Come May the Old Kennywood RR will show off brand new Kennywood history senses, the Jack Rabbit will be the first coaster to have an on-ride photo and credit/debt cards will be accepted through out the park.
